Economy? Mu'amalat? Hmm...

Assalamu'alaykum w.b.t.

Since I was in secondary school, I'm very afraid of this two subjects and I only learned it when I was in Form 3. I don't like accounting, banking, mu'amalat and many more that related to economy. Hehehe!

But, after several years studying some of Islamic disciplines such as Islamic Jurisprudence, Islamic Code, instead of little study of other disciplines such as Law of Contract together with various contract and banking terms, I became impressed by all of it.

I want to learn Mu'amalat and economy and understand it well . I want to know about Bursa Saham Kuala Lumpur (BSKL), what is stock means, what economists expect of world economy after 10 or 20 years, how to build a great business, what is the opinion of Muslim scholars about today's economy, and many more.



Unfortunately, I don't know how and where to start and which term I should understand first. Sometime I feel regret because I didn't want to study it before. Only now that I realized the important of mu'amalat and economy in producing better ummah. Huhu!

What can I do now is reading and trying to understand articles related to economy. When I have free times, I sometimes read Ustaz Zaharuddin's website. He is very well-known in Malaysia because of his knowledge and opinions about banking. His website contains current issues about economy, Islamic view of economy and mu'amalat, the risk of not following Islamic rules in running a business that will bring to jeopardies, and various terms and definitions about economy.

I hope I can understand all of these things until I can follow the right way ruled by Islam, as today many people disregard what Islam has ruled in economy and mu'amalat by taking and giving bribe, neglecting to pay zakat, gambling, etc...
